    Selection of Maternity Swimwear

Swimming is a fabulous way to stay fit and healthy and a great way to exercise while pregnant. It is very relaxing, and a great way to show off your nice baby bump.

Ideally a maternity bathing suit must have support in 3 key areas – your bust, hips and tummy.

For bust support, if you are smaller, you may be able to pull off a halter style, which tend to be very flattering. If you are graciously endowed, you should tend to lean towards the wider strap tanks and empire waist, which adds more support. Try to find adjustable straps so you can increase the length as you need it.

When it comes to showing off your baby bump, you must decide whta is comfortable for you. Make sure that your suit is not to tight and has enough room for you to grow into. Through your pregnancy, your hips will expand,  so make sure you buy a maternity swimsuit which has lycra or is adjustable.

Motherhood Maternity: Keyhole Detail Maternity Tankini Swimsuit

This is a good example of a tankini as opposed to a one piece maternity swimsuit. It has spandex in it so will have enough stretch.

Prego Maternity Halter Baby Doll Swimsuit

Hand-wash cold, line dry, don’t bleach.
“I know we have lots of hot, body-conscious swimsuits, which is great, but sometimes, you want a wee bit more coverage. One of my fave pregnancy swimsuits was almost a minidress, which is why I fell in love with this halter-topped, built-in-bra tankini. The hem falls low enough to feel flirty but to hide any butt bulges. Hey, they happen! Adjust the top by tying the halter to suit your needs. But what I know those of you who like coverage will go ga-ga for is the belly coverage the bottom gives you. Sure, theyre as big as granny pants, but that means that when you relax on the chaise lounge, no-one will see your belly and the road map of stretch marks and veins therein. Just remember the opposite of what I tell my potty-trained toddlers about how to put on their underwear — this time, the big part goes in the front! ;)

    Prego Maternity Swimsuit

Classic black one piece that crosses in the back with a textured pattern on the fabric. Flattering and supportive fit. Great for working out. 80% nylon, 20% lycra. Hand wash cold, line dry.

I purchased this swimsuit early in my pregnancy when I couldnt wear my normal suit any more. I looked all over for a swimsuit that I could still swim laps in. I wore this suit throughout my entire pregnancy and it worked great!
